X Ambassadors 03.23.16

X Ambassadors appeared at the Marquee Theatre on March 23, 2016 in support of their 2915 debut release VHS.  The VHS 2.0 tour continues the band’s 2015 shows in support of the album that was briefly interrupted by the opportunity to open for Muse on their early 2016 Drones tour.

The band’s enthusiasm is amazing. Composed of Sam Harris (lead vocals, guitar, saxophone), Casey Harris (keyboard), Noah Feldshuh (guitar)and’ and Adam Levin (drums), the band energy made it feel as if this was the first show on the tour.  Sam Harris’ in particular seemed like he was having more fun than anyone else in the room.  For a band still supporting its debut LP, the band came across as seasoned performers.

The set-list was tight with an obvious focus on songs from VHS, which was more than enough the crowd who was happy to sing along with hits Hang On, Unsteady, and massive hit Renegades.  While the music was great, Sam Harris’ energy, enthusiasm and infectious joy carried this show and made it simply more fun than most.
